We may use Google Analytics and similar analytics tools to track and monitor site traffic and user behavior. Parties to Whom We Disclose Information

As a general rule, we do not disclose personal information about our prospective clients, current clients, or former clients to anyone. However, to the extent permitted by law, the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct, and applicable state board of accountancy rules, certain nonpublic information about you may be disclosed in the following situations:

  • To comply with a validly issued and enforceable subpoena or summons.

  • In the course of a review of our firm's practices under the authorization of a state or national licensing board, or as necessary to properly respond to an inquiry or complaint from such a licensing board or organization.

  • In conjunction with a prospective purchase, sale, or merger of all or part of our practice, provided that we take appropriate precautions (for example, through a written confidentiality agreement) so the prospective purchaser or merger partner does not disclose information obtained in the course of the review.

  • As part of any actual or threatened legal proceedings or alternative dispute resolution proceedings either initiated by or against us, provided we disclose only the information necessary to file, pursue, or defend against the action and take reasonable precautions to ensure that the information disclosed does not become a matter of public record.

  • To provide information to affiliates of the firm and non-affiliated third parties who perform services or functions for us in connection with our services to you, but only if we have a contractual agreement with the other party that prohibits them from disclosing or using the information for any purpose other than the one for which it was disclosed. Examples include tax software providers, document management and e-signature platforms, secure file-sharing services, cost segregation specialists engaged on your behalf, and records-retention vendors.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services to you, to comply with our legal, tax, and professional obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Client records related to tax services are generally retained for a minimum of seven (7) years following the completion of the engagement, consistent with professional standards and applicable record-retention requirements. After the applicable retention period, we will securely destroy or de-identify your information.

Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we use commercially reasonable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Confidentiality and Security of Nonpublic Personal Information

Except as otherwise described in this notice, we restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to employees and contractors of our firm and other parties who must use that information to provide services to you. Their right to further disclose and use the information is limited by the policies of our firm, applicable law, the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct, and nondisclosure agreements where appropriate. We also maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in compliance with applicable laws and regulations — including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) Safeguards Rule and applicable state privacy laws — to guard your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, or premature destruction.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, which may include:

  • The right to know or access the personal information we hold about you

  • The right to correct inaccurate personal information

  • The right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and professional retention obligations

  • The right to receive a portable copy of your personal information

Please note that certain client information must be retained to comply with tax law, professional standards, and the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct, which may limit our ability to honor a deletion request.

Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
